Arduino Wave Shield / weather station hack

Finally found a use for the Oregon Scientific weather station stuff from Surplus Gizmos, using an Arduino with Wave Shield. I already have a functional weather station, so I thought I would do something for amusement instead. First I tried to connect to an Oregon Scientific wind speed/direction unit using the factory wiring, but when I couldn't get the signals needed I had to remove the PCB within and wire directly into the reed switch and pot. Right now the reed switch in the anemometer is triggering .wav files, and the pot in the vane is changing the sample rate. I need to improve the script to cycle through sounds via a button input rather than changing wiring. Sounds in the video are just some I found quickly for testing purposes. I think I'll write a second script to control sample rate via anemometer pulse rate, and maybe assign different sounds to different sections of the 360 degree pot input range. Also have the rain gauge that closes a reed switch when it dumps water, which would be great for triggering splashy sounds. =P
